Voltaren Rapid Information
Voltaren Rapid (formerly Cataflam) is a powerful medicine for the relief of acute painful and inflammatory conditions, caused by arthritis or other conditions.
Voltaren Rapid works to reduce pain, inflammation and lowers temperature in infections of the ear, nose and throat. Voltaren Rapid is particulary recommended in the short term treatment of acute pain and inflammatory conditions such as ankle sprains, bruises, and muscle strains; period pain, back pain and migraine headaches; post-operative pain (following dental or minor surgery).
Dosage:
Adults:Initially 2 tablets then if necessary, 1 or 2 tablets every 8 hours.
Children 14yrs+: Initially 1 tablet then if necessary, 1 tablet every 8 hours.
Voltaren Rapid(Cataflam) should be taken directly after a meal. Never take Voltaren Rapid (Cataflam )on an empty stomach, as this may cause gastric discomfort. Onset of pain relief is usually within 15 to 30 minutes.
Not recommended in children under 14yrs.

Diclofenac Potassium 25mg.
Precautions & Contraindications:
If you suffer from a stomach ulcer do not take Voltaren Rapid / Cataflam. Voltaren Rapid / Cataflam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsai). If you have ever had an allergic reaction or asthma attack after taking diclofenac, or any other anti-inflammatory medicine such as aspirin, do not take Voltaren Rapid / Cataflam. Children under 14 should not take Voltaren Rapid / Cataflam. Elderly people maybe more sensitive to the effects of Voltaren Rapid / Cataflam than other adults and should use the lowest effective dose for their condition.
